Live Well With Cancer was created by people who have personally been affected by cancer. We are experienced in cancer care and are passionate about helping people through their pathway.

We empower

Everyone faces different challenges when they or someone they know gets a cancer diagnosis. We deliver bespoke and flexible workshops and events that give people their help they need when they need it.

We are a community

Almost 50% of people will get cancer in their lifetime. In the North East alone, there are 16,000 newly diagnosed cancer every year. We are building a community that empowers people to live life with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.

Live Well with Cancer helps people affected by cancer diagnosis to improve their health and wellbeing. From our Live Well Hub in the heart of North Shields, we offer free workshops, events, support groups, 1-2-1 support and educational resources that helps our community to live life fully with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.

Live Well Hub

We are hard at work transforming our Live Well Hub so that we have more spaces where our community can come together to improve their health and wellbeing. We are working on plans to renovate our kitchen to create an accessible space downstairs, while work has already begun on our back room to create space for 1-2-1's and pop-up sessions ran by Northeast Nipple Project.

Live Well Fashion Show

We are so excited for our Live Well Fashion Show! Tickets are now on sale for the event, held at Village Hotel on 21st June. Cheer on members of our community as they strut their stuff on the catwalk, wearing sustainable fashion supplied by our friends at St Oswald's Hospice. Fatigue Masterclasses

We are delighted to be hosting Fatigue Masterclasses for patients and professionals. Funded by Northern Cancer Alliance, the sessions will cover the causes of cancer related fatigue and how patients can manage the effects, with sessions on journaling and conscious breathing. Join us for sessions in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Durham and Hexham.

Physical activity
support after breast cancer

We are delighted to be hosting Dr Sam Orange from Newcastle University, who will be running a series of in-person workshops funded by Breast Cancer Now. The project aims to develop a programme to improve women's access to physical activity support after breast cancer treatment. Everyone who signs up will receive a £40 voucher for each workshop attended.
